Australia's magic means laid back hippie music, sounds of sun, warmness, wind and sea. Laid back is by all means the right word to describe the style of quintet Parcels, but the band from Aussie East coast Byron Bay includes also inventive psychedelic waves of synthie-soundscapes with funky guitar work to the sunny side up vocal harmonies. Having just come of age, the five friends followed Berlin's reputation and relocated there in 2016.
The title track from their current EP "Clockscared" features elements close to acid jazz like a dreamy saxofon and smooth melodies. The boys had recorded the material already in their schooldays between bedrooms and garages. Now the likeable band fills the streets of Berlin with their laid back songs, training for the gigs to come. Apart from that the influence of Berlin, the world receiver, might soon settle within their sound.
