Due to Covid-19 L’Eclair had to cancel their shows at Reeperbahn Festival and their participation at ANCHOR 2020!

Relax, get out the instruments and celebrate jam sessions for nights on end in a remote location somewhere in the mountains: That’s how the Swiss ensemble L’Eclair creates albums such as Polymood and Sauropoda within a few days. The Geneva six-piece playfully fuses funk with highlife, disco with dub, and even incorporates a few sprinkles of krautrock into an organic whole that defies all categories.

To hear the band members themselves describe it, they're not only influenced by the spirit of the seventies, by Can and Tangerine Dream, but also by old movie scores and library music – a sound that never loses its groove and makes the perfect soundtrack for hot, sunny days at the lakeside. “The more the audience dances, the better we play – and the better we play, the more the audience dances”, bassist Elie Ghersinu notes. Sounds like everyone’s all set for summer!
