Arnim Teutoburg-Weiß

Originally coming from a family of artists, Arnim found his great passion to play the guitar through detours. He quit playing football at the beginning of the 90s and found himself in the rehearsal room of the newly founded band Beatsteaks only a short time later. The guys got along immediately, and thus Arnim became the singer, guitarist, and frontman of the punk rock band. After only 10 gigs, the group performed as the opening act for the Sex Pistols in Berlin.

By now the Beatsteaks belong to the commercially most successful punk rock bands in Germany and play in a league with bands like Die Ärzte and Die Toten Hosen. At the MTV Europe Music Awards 2004, they won the category for Best German Act.

The Beatsteaks released their 8th studio album "Yours" in 2017.

Besides the Beatsteaks, Arnim pursues further musical projects. Under the name Teutilla, he collaborates with famous rappers like Marteria. Moreover, Arnim and his band colleague Torsten Scholz, form the Germany-wide active DJ team Fra Diabolo.

At the moment, it is unusually quiet around Arnim and his band Beatsteaks, but it is well known that this can only be the famous calm before the storm.
